Go Plant Fleet Services buys six more Dennis Eagle Narrow RCVs

The manoeuvrability of Dennis Eagle’s RCV was the key attribute that prompted specialist fleet provider Go Plant Fleet Services to buy six more for its hire fleet for both short and long-term contracts across the UK.

All six vehicles feature the 6x2 narrow rear steer chassis which have the same turning circle as their shorter 4x2 counterparts and have set the standard across the industry for vehicle accessibility.

They are mounted with Olympus 19 bodies which achieve exceptional payload efficiency through vehicle weight savings while maintaining the vehicle’s accessibility.

And these are fitted with Terberg OmniDEL lifts – a split-twin, low-level, automatic bin lift which is designed with the easy and clean loading of both bagged and binned waste in mind.

The vehicles also boast the Elite 6 cab that provided the best Direct Vision Standard of any truck on the UK’s roads in tests of HGVs from the eight leading manufacturers on the UK’s roads, carried out for Transport for London.

This makes it easier for drivers to see other road users which is particularly useful in cluttered and busy urban environments and another important attribute for Go Plant which has a reputation for putting safety at the heart of its operations.

Leicestershire-based Go Plant Fleet Services employs more than 800 people and operates across the UK from 49 regional service centres and satellite depots.

Dean Hurry, Head of Procurement at Go Plant Fleet Services, said: “We chose to work with our close partners Dennis Eagle for our recent requirements for narrow refuse collection vehicles.

“The vehicles have joined our spot hire fleet and are already working with one of our major contractors in inner city areas. The manoeuvrability and reduced width of these vehicles makes them ideal for this environment.

“We have a long-standing relationship with Dennis Eagle and enjoy the professionalism they provide and the ability to discuss and agree innovation with them.”

Dennis Eagle General Sales Manager Mick Friend said: “We’ve worked very closely with Go Plant over the years. These latest six vehicles bring the total they have bought from us to 38 in 2019 and we are delighted to be associated with them as they grow from strength to strength.”
