Artwork offered by the Terberg employees for the 150th Anniversary

At the party on 18 May in Utrecht to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Royal Terberg Group Rob van Hove (director of Terberg Benschop) and Rogier van Ewijk (director of Terberg Business Lease Group) symbolically presented a sculpture to the Group, on behalf of all Terberg personnel.

On Sunday 15 September the sculpture was revealed at the offices of Royal Terberg Group in IJsselstein, in the presence of the Terberg family. Of course the artist, Bart Lebesque, was also present. He explained the story behind the sculpture and what it symbolises:

  • The base formed by three pieces of granite expresses the strong foundations underpinning Terberg.
  • The cart wheel symbolises the early years before the war and refers back to the origins of the business, undertaking work for local farmers.
  • The sun radiating in all directions symbolises all the company's personnel, worldwide, who have made the Terberg Group great and are continuing to do so every day. Each tube represents a person, and together they support the globe.
  • The globe represents the present and the future.
  • It also serves as a mirror to reflect with pride on all we have accomplished.

The family would like to thank all Terberg personnel for this wonderful sculpture.
