Supplied on a variety of DAF and Volvo chassis, the vehicles also feature Olympus 27 wide bodies from Dennis Eagle.

Based in Wrexham, family-owned ASH Waste Services has an expanding customer base of over 6,000 companies throughout the North West, North Wales, Cheshire, Staffordshire and the Midlands. Clients range from sole traders to large multi-national corporations, and the company has an extensive fleet of vehicles to assist with waste and recycling collections.

Previously, its fleet consisted entirely of competitor products. However, when the time came to invest in new models earlier this year, ASH Waste Services took the decision to opt for a complete vehicle solution that offered a one-stop-shop for procurement and aftersales requirements, as Transport Manager Phil Mottershead explains:

“Due to the expanding size of our fleet, we decided that the time was right to introduce some variety in the form of other makes and models of equipment and met with Terberg Matec UK and Dennis Eagle to discuss our requirements.

“They put forward the suggestion that we should try the combination of an Olympus body with OmniTRADE bin lift, so we visited the company’s Warwick headquarters for a site tour. We were happy with what we saw and subsequently placed an order for two vehicles. Following this we landed a package of new work and ordered a further four vehicles to help support this.

“All vehicles received are now in service, and indications show that they are working well. The bin lifts and bodies offer exceptional performance and payload, while the weighing systems are enabling us to gather all the relevant data for our pay by weight collection service so we can bill our customers accurately and compliantly as well as ensuring we continue to offer maximum value for money.”

Nick Robinson, Commercial Operations Manager at Terberg Matec UK, comments: “We’re delighted to be supplying ASH Waste Services with our products. In conjunction with Dennis Eagle we can offer the benefit of a one-stop-shop for their body, bin lift and weighing equipment requirements and we look forward to working in close partnership with them to meet any aftersales requirements they may have in the future, resulting in the provision of ongoing first class support to their operations via every subsidiary within our organisation.”
