New director at Terberg Benschop B.V.

At the end of 2016 our director, George Terberg, who has been with Terberg Benschop for 39 years, will move to our holding company, Terberg Group at IJsselstein, the Netherlands.

Rob van Hove was appointed as his successor as of 1 September. They will jointly lead Terberg Benschop B.V. until the end of the year.

We wish Rob all the best with his new job!

A short biography of Rob van Hove follows below.

Introducing Rob van Hove

I'm 51 and I was born in Voorburg in the Netherlands. I am married to Sylvia and we have two children. After living and working in the Port of Rotterdam area for 13 years we moved to Zeewolde in 2012. We like travelling, by plane and caravan. I also like to make time available to do something for society, hence I joined the Lions Club in Zeewolde.

The past six years I was CEO of Kuiken Groep in Emmeloord. The focus of this company changed greatly over the years. It is now much stronger and can flexibly and quickly provide service support and spare parts to customers. The rental and leasing operations are now well developed, and customers benefit from 24/7/365 support. A strong external focus made it possible to regain the position of market leader in the Benelux. In 2015 the company was sold to a family in Belgium.

From 2003 through to 2009 I worked at Kalmar where I was responsible for the expansion of all after-sales activities, worldwide. We opened a range of new branches and helped many dealers to further develop their after-sales businesses. In this period of seven years I was also director of several Kalmar subsidiaries in Europe and Africa.

Before that I worked at Pon Power for 13 years. There I had the opportunity to work in a range of roles in the sales and servicing of Caterpillar diesel and gas engines. That provided me with a solid background in the industry.

I am really looking forward to starting work at Terberg. It is a great, strong family business which is also experiencing significant growth. I first did an induction programme and worked for a shorter or longer time in many different departments to get to know the company, its products and, especially, its people. On 1 September I started work officially as director of Terberg Benschop B.V.

See you soon!
